What is a “revue“? 什么是“revue”?
A “revue (from French ‘magazine’ or ‘overview’) is a type of multi-act theatrical entertainment , with vivid costumes, big group dance acts, and special highlight performances by the leading vedettes. A revue generally doesn’t have a storyline, but one theme that combine all different acts that may vary in type and style. Revues enjoyed great success on Broadway and European cabaret venues from the 1910s till modern days. One of the most popular American revues was Ziegfeld Follies. With different artistic emphases, the revue genre is today above all upheld at traditional variety theatres such as Le Lido de Paris, Moulin Rouge and Friedrichstadt-Palast Berlin as well as in shows in Las Vegas.

What’s a vedette? 什么是vedette?
A vedette is the main female artist of a cabaret / revue show, often specializing in burlesque. Generally a vedette is a woman with physical presence, personality and charisma that captivates the public. In addition to their highlight act (usually solo), they would often appear in group dances, surrounded by starlets and showgirls. One of the most known burlesque vedettes today is Dita Von Teese.

Liwa La Fleur
Returning to Beijing after two years of absence she reunites with Moonglow group with a new dazzling act, combining music of two Hollywood hits: “Diamonds are Forever” (1971 James Bond film), and “Sparkling Diamonds” (“Moulin Rouge!”, 2001). 2年后重归月光之城歌舞团，以一种新的炫目歌舞出现，舞蹈结合好莱坞最为经典的“永恒的钻石”（1971年詹姆斯邦德电影）和“闪亮钻石”（“红磨坊！” 2001）。
Trixie Royale
Once again, the director and producer of Moonglow Burlesque will take the stage with one of her signature acts – “Flower Fairy”, inspired by silent movies of Georges Méliès and “Ziegfeld Follies of 1910”. 月光之城的导演兼制作人再次以受到两部无声电影的启发，创作了她标志性的表演——花仙子。
